What is a Crisis Situation?

Law enforcement officials and emergency response personnel are faced with many unique and challenging situations during their careers. The encounters which these individuals may be met with while on the job require a specific degree of training and a high tolerance for risk. Many personnel will respond to a crisis, one of the most serious emergency types. This lesson will describe what crisis means and different types of situational crisis intervention.
